Birth Services

Circle of Light is now providing Doula services!

What is a doula you may ask? A doula is a non-medical birth professional whose role is to provide the mother and the rest of her support system with information, options, and support. Her job is not to take the place of the father or anyone else you would like to have with you during labor and birth, but to help them in doing a better job to give you the support you need. Doulas provide assistance in hospitals, birth centers, and at home births.

I am so excited to be coming to the end of my doula training. I expect to be fully certified by the end of January 2019. Before I fully launch on this exciting part of my  journey, I am asking to be allowed to play a part in your even more exciting journey! I am looking for women to provide doula services for at a substantial discount as I gain experience in this field by the end of February. The first two people to respond to this offer will receive full birth support for only $100. Please contact me if you or someone you know would like a doula to provide information, encouragement, comfort, and expertise during birth.

In addition to being with moms and their families during healthy, full-term births, my training is also as a bereavement doula. That means that I have additional training beyond what birth doulas normally receive to assist families with difficult birth outcomes such as when stillbirth or death shortly after birth is a possibility.

I will also continue and expand things that Circle of Light has already been offering like blessingways, naming ceremonies, and prenatal and postnatal Reiki sessions.

More detailed information will be available in the coming days and weeks. I look forward to serving our community in the capacity! Please let me know if you have any questions, requests, or referrals!
